Have you seen the Barn Door bundle yet?!? It's so much fun! It looks a little complicated but it's actually really simple. The framelits are already all set up for you. I have found so many fun ideas to use to create projects! This idea came from Dawn Griffith.
Featured Product:
Barn Door Bundle
- Thick White cardstock 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", score at 4 1/4"
- Soft Sky 4" x 5 1/4"- cut out the sliders for the barn door
- Now run the same piece through the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder.
- Use the coordinating framelits to cut out the "hardware" for the door from Early Espresso cardstock.
- Stamp the door in Early Espreso ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and cut out
- To make the door slide, punch out 8 1/2" circles from a Window Sheet. Place 4 of them under the slide opening, attach a mini dimensional to it through the slide opening. Attach another window sheet circle on top of it.
- Use dimensional strips to attach this piece to your card front. This allows space for the circles to move and slide when you move the door.
- Put a mini dimensional on top of each circle slider-- attach the door to the left side top and bottom first, then slide it over to the left side and attach it. Now you've got a sliding barn door!
- Decorate the door as shown- or as you like.
- I added a 2 1/2" x 3 3/4" piece of Whisper White for under the door.
- stamp it first
- attach underneath the door
On the other side of the door... I stamped words in Early Espresso and Sweet Sugarplum flowers also cut using the coordinating thinlits.
