Donut you love this card!

Today's card is a card that my son created.  He just had a birthday and we needed some fun, easy cards that we could whip up and send to thank his friends who came.  I went right for my stack of Paper Pumpkins (yes, I have a stack... I don't always make time).   I pulled out the kits I had and let him pick.  He went immediately for the donuts.  He enjoys a good pun and thought his friends would like these.

I happened to have my coffee cup sitting here when we finished them and I thought to myself how perfect it was.  So I stopped him before sealing the final envelope and stole a quick pic!  I love the pic itself... I am a music teacher and my aunt got this for me at Christmas time.  Whether I am teaching music or stamping... coffee, teach, repeat.

We started with the frosting layer and added the sticker drizzle of chocolate.
Next we attached that to the folded donut card base.
Then we added shimmery sprinkles.
Finally, we stamped our phrase from the May Paper Pumpkin Kit "Sprinkled with Love" stamp set in Soft Suede ink on the Soft Sky pre-cut banner and attached it to the donut using dimensionals.

He then wrote a nice message around the donut inside (yep, he enjoyed that!) and we have them ready to mail.  The party was Saturday and we are mailing them Tuesday.

Paper Pumpkin is so easy that my 9 year old son can do it!  And this isn't his first rodeo.  He has done lots of stamping with me over the years.  He really enjoys it.
