Sunday we also had a Graduation party.  It was for a young man, so I needed a more manly card.
I started this one and first it wouldn't stamp the entire image, so I recut my dsp.  I stamped it again and it worked!  Then I ran my finger through the ink and smeared it.  I thought about leaving it that way and maybe even making it rougher but wasn't sure that would "fix" my problem and make it look like I did it on purpose.  When all else fails... cover it up with another layer!  Tada!

Prep:
Basic Black
  • 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" base, score at 4 1/4"
  • 5" x 3 3/4"
  • 4 1/4" x 3" for top layer
Pool Party
  • 5 1/4" x 4" layer
Whisper White
  • 5 1/4" x 4" for inside layer
  • 4 1/8" x 2 7/8"
Color Theory DSP Stack 144193 $10.00
  • 4 3/4" x 3 1/2"

Stamp:
Stamp your sentiment from the Great Big Greetings Stamp Set in Pool Party ink on the smaller Whisper White layer.

Assemble:
This one is pretty self explanatory.
Just start layering.
One note: I did use dimensionals on the top most layer.
Finish it off with a few Glitter Enamel Dots 144200 $7.00

I thought I would share what the original card started out looking like... to include my lovely smear.  This is for those who think you aren't creative enough... YES! You are!
