I had planned to work on cards today so I could post a card that isn't Berry Burst. I still love it and I hope you do too but if you're following every day, I'm sure you are feeling a little Berried out. Alas, being on summer break with two kids and a husband at home, right after a 10 day vacation there are lots of interruptions and not a lot of creating going on. Hopefully soon! Until then...
Featured Stamp Set: Wood Words
Prep Your Project:
Cut your card base from Berry Burst 8 1/2 x 4 1/4, scored at 5 1/2.
Cut a piece of Berry Burst 3 3/4 x 5
Now 2 strips of Whisper White; 3/4 x 3 3/4 & 3/4 x 5 AND a piece 4 x 5 1/4.
You'll also need a 1/2 inch scrap strip of Whisper White and a 2 x4 scrap of Whisper White.
Stamp it:
Stamp the flowers in Berry Burst ink on your Whisper White strips.
Clean your stamp and use Versamark to stamp your flowers on the Berry Burst cardstock, then add clear embossing powder and heat it up! (This is still one of my favorite techniques!)
While that is cooling, cut out "congrats" using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.
Stamp "Hello friend" in Berry Burst ink on a 1/2 inch strip of Whisper White and cut around the "friend" with scissors.
Assemble:
Attach your Whisper White strips to your Berry Burst piece using adhesive.
Attach this whole piece to your card base using dimensionals
(with a big layer- I do one in each corner and one in the middle)
Now use finetip glue, glue dots, or your other favorite adhesive to attach "congrats" to the front of the card... I like a little tilt.
Next, add your friend rectangle with dimensionals.
Finally add your large Whisper White cardstock to the inside so you have a place to write a nice message.
