You know the saying "You don't know what you've got until it's gone". Well, it's true in many ways. Every year when stamp sets and accessories move on I make the most use I can at the end and fall in love with them all over again, only to see them move on.
The next few days will feature the stamp set Perfect Mix. I loved this stamp set as soon as I saw it. It has been so much fun to play with! Especially the last few days.
Here are the first two cards. It's sort of a his/hers set of cards. I love the image and sentiment, so much fun!
This is the "Female" card. For this card I started with a traditional 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 base, scored at 4 1/4.
I added a layer of Melon Mambo 4 1/2 x 3 1/4 and Basic Black 4 1/4 x 3.
Now add a Silver Metallic Thread to this background piece and then attach it to your base.
Cut out a Melon Mambo oval using the Layering Ovals.
Cut a second smaller oval from Whisper White using the Stitched Shapes.
Stamp the cheese grate and phrase with Momento ink.
Color in the grate with a blender pen and Melon Mambo ink.
For the Male version I used Bermuda Bay cardstock, ribbon and ink. It's the exact same layout as the Female version.
