I have wanted to make this card since OnStage in April. It's very creative. Especially the way the background is made. Please forgive m, I can't recall who presented this back in April so I can't give credit.
The stamp set Painter's Palette comes with a square piece in the art easel. Technically it's garbage but it works great for background stamping!! Let's see how it's done.
The card base is Sweet Sugarplum with lots of layers of Whisper White and Sweet Sugarplum. I used the stamp set Painter's Palette for the entire card. I stamped the background using the extra square piece from the set and Sweet Sugarplum ink. I stamped off on scrap paper each time I added a square. This helped create dimension and texture without making the squares too dark. Finish it off with the sentiment in the center square using Sweet Sugarplum ink and dimensionals.
This card follows the same directions with one change. I simply added a 1/2 inch strip of Rich Razzleberry and stamped a decorative strip using Moroccan Nights stamp set. I stamped the strip on Rich Razzleberry with Rich Razzleberry ink.
This final card uses the same techniques as the last one but take away the Rich Razzleberry strip, I stamped the decorative strip directly in on the background.
