Banner Surprise Part 1

Have I mentioned lately that I love Paper Pumpkin?  I do!  I love it!  The kit for June was called Banner Surprise.  It turned out to be an adorable kit!

I have a Paper Pumpkin club that meets after we all receive our kits.  I get to play with mine first so I know how it goes together and get ideas on alternate ideas so that they don't use the stamp set once and then put it away.

You saw one alternate card already on my June 30th- Play Ball post.  Today I am sharing the actual kit banner and cards and then you'll want to check back throughout the next few days to see the alternate ideas I came up with!

Here's the Happy Birthday Banner.  The idea with this kit was to make a banner and attach it to the card.  I felt like that was way too bulky.  My son has a birthday coming up and we may be on vacation. I thought I would put my banner together and put it in a separate envelope and give it to him on our road trip.  He can hang it in the backseat of the car or on our campsite.  It's small so it won't take up a lot of space.  Fun!

Here's a close up of the "Happy".  All I had to do was stamp the outer edge of the circles and attach the letter "stickers", add my sequins and seal it up with Washi tape.

Here is the "Birthday" portion a little more up close.  Same thing.  I separated the two with a pendent stamped and a heart sticker.  Turned out great!

Next, we made 4 of the 6 cards included in the kit.  We made them in ways similar to that of the kit directions.  Some of the girls came up with a few additional ideas.

Here is the stamped envelope and banner folded up.  The banner then goes inside the envelope, which is folded over and secured with a piece of Washi tape.

More coming throughout the upcoming days, so keep an eye out for additional ideas that deviate from the directions of the kit!
