Honoring Memorial Day

I saw this card on one of my stamping group pages on Facebook.  Kudos to Kim Jolly for creating a form of this card initially.  I just had to try it just for my post today.  I have to first admit that my card did not turn out as planned but I decided to post it anyway.  We all have a less than perfect card from time to time so I thought I would share it :) It also includes a sneak peek of items available in just a few days!

The base of the card is Whisper White.   I used the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies to create the stripes.  I cut them from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock.  I added a rectangle of Night of Navy Cardstock.  I then cut stars using the Perfect Pines Framelits (we no longer have a star punch, so this was the easiest way).  I decided for my card I wanted silver stars even though they are actually white.  I did not have any silver foil paper left but I did find that I have silver foil doilies, so...

Here's how I made my stars.  I put it all together and voila.  A quick, supposed to be cute, flag card in honor of those who have served our country.

In honor of those lost, Memorial Day Blessings.
God Bless.
