Wonderfully Wasted

It's Wonderfully Wasted Wednesday!  At On Stage I learned fun ways to "waste" my washi tape.  Maybe she said use up that old washi tape.  I left thinking "I can't wait to try out those new, cool ways to waste my washi tape!"  So until I can't think of any other ways to waste it, this will be my feature on Wednesdays :). Wish me luck Wasting!

Today's sample was a happy accident.  This started out as a regular old envelope.  I was simply going to write Jakub's name on it and that would be that.  Well, my pen had other plans :(  It left a big, ugly smudge!  I tried to blot it with a tissue and it only got worse!  Big smear!  I couldn't give a beautiful card inside of a smeary envelope!  This is not old washi tape yet.  it's from the Cherry on Top Suite.  But it certainly helped me fix my problem!

Check it out...

This is of course the final envelope.

I covered it up.  Like I would put a bandaid on either of my son's cuts.  I just tore a few pieces off and layer them down.  I thought about grabbing a sharpe and writing on top of that but then I thought "Hellp!  You're a Stampin' Up Demonstrator!  You can do better than that!" So...

I punched out 3 pieces using the Label Bracket Punch (which is retiring by the way!).  One in Gold FOil, one in Bermuda Bay and one in Whisper White.  I cut the gold and Bermuda bay in half and clipped off the corners diagonally so they wouldn't stick out.  I attached them with glue dots and then attached that to the envelope using dimensionals.  Voila it's fixed and it's going to catch the other guests' eye.  It might even send a new stamper my way!
