Gorgeous Grunge Baptism

This was the other card I came up with for the baptism this past weekend.  I just love this one.  This was my favorite.  I was inspired by another stamper outside of the U.S..  I did not find her name, but the wording on the card was definitely French.  It was very cute.

The card base is Whisper White with layers of Blushing Bride and Whisper White.  The inks used were Blushing Bride and Tip Top Taupe.  I used Gorgeous Grunge and Work of Art and Endless Thanks for the background, plus a few hearts from All God's Grace.   I stamped the dove on whisper white and punched it out with a 1 inch circle punch (I would have preferred 3/4 inch but couldn't find mine).  I then cut a circle using the Circles Collection to add a tip top taupe layer and punched a scallped circle from blushing bride.  I layered them together and before attaching with a dimensional, I laid a "wad" of silver thread.  Quite honestly, that is exactly what I did.  I put a little adhesive down, cut a piece of thread, wadded it up and stuck it on my card, then did a little rearranging and pulling so it looked a little more in line with my card.  Next, I stamped my words on 1/2 inch strips and turned them into banners using my hexagon punch.  I cut out the cross and attached with dimensionals.  To finish off the whole card I went though and added several pearls.
