Going Global

This is Project 2 from retreat.  Our focus with this set was using the Going global stamp set.  This is a perfect set for some manly cards.  It's got a compas, a globe, a star theme, love theme but not too girly.  It's great.  You can still create a feminine look too.

Let's take a closer look

This one has a layer of texture.  We ran the upper background through the World Traveler Embossing Folder.  To add a little more texture we used a sponge and added Tip Top Taupe with a sponge to kind of antique or "muck" it up... Guy style ;)

Colors on this card: Basic Black, Lost Lagoon, Tip Top Taupe and Very Vanilla.

This one has a great star theme!  We've run 2 pieces through different embossing folders to add texture here.  We used Decorative Dots and Lucky Stars. My favorite part is the punched stars added to the background.  They really pop!

Colors on this card: Crumb Cake, Basic Black and Crushed Curry.

This card is using the World Traveler and Lucky Star embossing folder.  To really help this pop we've added punched stars to the background and a raised star frame on the front.  We've created this star by using the Stars Framelits.

Colors on this card: Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Crumb Cake and Basic Black.

Again we've embossed and sponged.  We've added a bit of ribbon and a greeting with a washi punch.

Colors on this card: Crumb Cake, Lost Lagoon, Basic Black and Very Vanilla.

This card is pretty simple.  We punched a heart, stamped a heart and cut it out and put everything together.

Colors on this card: Lost Lagoon, Basic Black and Crumb Cake.

My favorite element of this card is the designer paper.  I love this idea of letting hang off and putting it on crooked.  Just gives the card a totally different look!  To finish off we have added Candy Dots and fussy cut the banner in the crushed curry.

Colors on this card: Old Olive, Crushed Curry and Crumb Cake.
