My oldest received several puzzles for Christmas and we've been putting them together as a family. It's been a lot of fun. I forgot how much I enjoy putting puzzles together. It gave me an idea with my Rose Garden Thinlits.
I posted a card about a month ago that was very similar to this one. I was trying to figure out a better way to make it. Faster or easier. This was maybe not faster but was pretty fun ;)
I cut out the flower in black and then I cut the flower again (minus the leaves) in Melon Mambo. Using green glue (Tombo multi-purpose glue), I stuck the black "frame" down first, then using the same glue, I pulled the "insides" from the melon mambo cut out and fit them like a puzzle into this black frame. Rather than cardstock for the leaves, I used Mossy Meadow ink and sponged it with sponge daubers. I used the Rose Wonder stamp set for the Happy Birthday and frame and then cut out with the Rose Garden Thinlits. Popped the words up with dimensionals and mounted the Whisper white layer on a Melon Mambo base.
