Deer one

I used this technique a few months ago.  Nice to see it again and it's quite perfect for this card.

The base of the card is Soft Suede with one simple layer of Very Vanilla.

Step 1: Cut out an oval from a piece of 5 1/4 X4 cardstock.  Place it on top of a matching size piece.  Step 2: Take a sponge and your ink (in this case, very vanilla cardstock and Soft Suede ink) and rub or dab the sponge in the oval cut area.
Step 3: When you feel like you have enough, remove the mask and you can go on to do the rest of the card

Next you are going to stamp your images also in Soft Suede and we used a blender pen right on the ink already on the card to color in parts of the deer.

A beautiful, soft look.  Perfect for this type of scene.  And I love the words... "To someone who's great to be around..."  All stamps on this card are from In the Meadow.
