Hello Birthday Boy

At my recent Demonstrator make and take, I participated in a Sale-a-bration SWAP.  This was the card that I made for the swap.  I was excited to create a card that was both playful and somewhat masculine.

The card base is Lost Lagoon with a strip of Delightful Dijon.  I stamped using the Sale-a-bration stamp set HELLO (SAB 141243) on a piece of Sahara Sand.  I used Lost Lagoon and Delightful Dijon ink.

**This stamp set is a limited time only!  If you love it, jump on it today!

I cut out the hat from this stamp set and added a White Perfect Accents- but I peeled off the white part first and attached it using our new Fine Tip Glue.

This is a close up of my favorite part of this card!  At Convention 2015 Sara Douglass showed us a fun new way to use Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details.  She took Tombo glue (referred to as green glue), silver sparkle and water from an aqua painter.  I put these items together in a paint tray, then used the aqua painter to mix it up.  I stepped up Sara's idea by adding a drop of re-inker (Lost Lagoon in this case).  I then used my finger and the aquapainter and flicked it onto the card to make a splatter look.  It's not just a splatter though... Looking closely, you can see it's a colored, glimmering splatter.
