Christmas Joy & Thanks

I love getting ideas from other crafters.  This card is cased from a card on Peggy Murwin's blog.  How cute?!  Normally I save these emails with the intention of making them later but I just HAD to make this now!  So here is my copy of her adorable card!

Real Red card base, with layers of Whisper white and Cucumber Crush.  I punched 1 inch real red circles and 1 1/4 inch cucumber crush circles.  I used the star punch from the bitty punch set and punched a gold glimmer star.  Using Cucumber crush ink and the stripes from YOUR PRESENTS, I created the plaid look.  Stamp the stripes, then rein and turn your stamp 90 degrees and voila- plaid!  I used Momento Black ink to stamp the "Joy" (also from YOUR PRESENTS). Next, assemble.  Cute as a button!  I love it.

I loved it so much, I had to retouch it a bit.  I needed a thank you for a friend at work and thought this is perfect for this time of year!  LOVE it!  Same card, same technique, but this time I used "ENDLESS THANKS" stamp set to add a thank you sentiment.  Thanks for the idea mom!
