I LOVE the holidays! What a wonderful time of the year! When I saw this stamp, I fell in LOVE! It reminds me of a Christmas sweater. So first I stamped it in Cherry Cobbler and then went "ewe" that is not the look I was "looking" for. It just doesn't look right. Maybe I should have tried Real Red but my next thought was Night of Navy because of the snowflakes! I love using silver and Night of Navy during the winter months. Which will be tricky this year because we have a lot of great gold items in our holiday collection!
On this card I used Stampin' up's Whisper White Notecards (yep, same kind of card I used on the thankful card earlier this week! I'm telling you- these little cards are so worth it!)
Stamp set used was Six Sayings-- hostess exclusive! (contact me to book your workshop or private class! We could even make a stack of THIS card at your private class!)
I use the corner rounder punch on the envelope punch board to round the edges, but get this... the holiday catalog has a fantastic new corner punch! Check it out...
Next I embellished with a quarter inch strip of Night of Navy cardstock and my new favorite embellishment, the silver metallic thread.
And no project is complete without dimensionals AND some bling! So I used the silver sparkle dazzling details to put a little silver sparkle on the snowflakes. A nice little touch!
Sidenote... when you've put a wet glittery substance on your card, it is best to remember to let it dry before you lay anything on top. I ended up with a bluish glittery substance on my envelope... not sure how to cover up that one. Made with love I suppose ;) We all make mistakes.
