Cardinals

Cardinals always remind me of my grandma.  She loves birds, but around the holidays Cardinals seem to be her favorite.  I am always on the lookout for cute or pretty cardinal things for her in the winter time.

This Card uses the "Joyful Season" stamp set.  It uses Cherry Cobbler ink and cardstock as well as Early Espresso Cardstock.

The outlines are stamped in Early espresso and then the inner pieces are stamped with cherry cobbler.  And guess what?  All those little berries are a single stamp set too!  You don't have to color each one, or stamp each separately.  They line up perfectly!  (Thank you Stampin' Up!)

Don't forget his cute little beak... pumpkin pie.  Also a stamp in the set.

The base layer is Mossy Meadow and is cut at 4 1/4 X 7 1/2 and then scored at 3 3/4.  The Whisper White layer is run through the big shot using the new "Boughs & Berries Textured Embossing Folder".  And there is an added piece of Cherry Cobbler Thick Bakers Twine for a sweet little bow.  (Use mini glue dots to stick these... much easier!)

And check out the inside... still all using the same color scheme and stamp set, plus our new corner punch! "Curly Corner Trio Punch"
